Some operations have been cancelled because of bed shortages and 'general pressure' at Noble's Hospital.
Manx Care has confirmed some elective procedures yesterday and today have had to be rescheduled as a result.
It says the main reason for cancellations is that patients currently can't be discharged to an onward care facility.
As a result, they then require treatment in beds that would usually be given to those requiring elective surgery.
The situation has come about due to the closures of local residential homes following increasing Covid-19 cases and transmission.
Several homes aren't accepting new admissions or visitors because of Coronavirus.
The Island's healthcare provider says bed capacity at Noble's remains under constant review and is being closely managed and decisions to cancel operations 'aren't taken lightly.'
