Police are investigating a series of thefts targeting heavy good vehicles over the last few weeks.
The Central Neighbourhood Policing Team says two batteries were taken from Manx Independent Carriers on the Snugborough Trading Estate in Union Mills between 9pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday.
Two heavy-duty batteries were also taken from a wagon parked in a lay-by on the Hills Meadow Industrial Estate in Douglas between 5.30pm on Wednesday, February 14 and 7.30am on Saturday, February 17.
Thieves also tried to make off with two more batteries between 2pm on Tuesday, February 6 and 6am on February 17 from a vehicle parked in the lower paddock area of the TT Grandstand.
Officers are asking anyone with any information to get in touch with police headquarters.
