The number of basking sharks being spotted in Manx waters has continued to decline this summer.
The Manx Wildlife Trust says the warmer weather we experienced will have created a hotter surface which could have deterred the gentle giants.
Despite the relatively low figures there were consistently strong dolphin and porpoise sightings.
Marine officer Eleanor Stone says in terms of sightings it was a summer of two halves:
