A banned driver who got behind the wheel with class A drugs but no tax or insurance has had his vehicle confiscated.
Jaime Christopher Aire of Harcroft Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old admitted driving while disqualified, having no car tax or insurance and possessing MDMA on Main Road in Colby on August 9.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing police stopped Aire’s black VW Golf at around 10am after doing a routine computer check.
The query showed its owner had been banned for two years in March for drug-driving.
A search of the car uncovered six red tablets in a black plastic wrap, and Aire told police he didn’t have tax or insurance.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 until he’s sentenced on October 5, and granted a prosecution application to seize the car.
