The Bank of Ireland's Douglas branch is to close affecting 25 staff.
In a statement, the company confirmed its offshore operations were no longer the priority as it focuses its efforts on UK and Irish markets.
The branch is located on Christian Road and is now in the process of winding down its operations.
All customers will be informed of developments and staff have already entered into consultation with their employer.
