Bank boss admits customers were let down

Isle of Man Bank has published a message to customers from the chief executive of the RBS Group Stephen Hester.

Over the past few days customers have experienced disruption after problems with the banking systems meant customers account balances weren't updated.

Banks in the Isle of Man have extended their opening hours and even opened yesterday to try and help people access their money.

Customers are still reporting some issues with their accounts this morning..

Mr Hester said customers had been left down and said the problem simply shouldn’t have happened.

He added that no customers would permanently left out of pocket as a result.
