Could a new childrens play centre be coming to Ballasalla?
Plans have been put forward to change the use of the former Isle of Man Bank building on Station Road into a soft and sensory play centre which would be called 'The Cub House' for children from birth up to six years old.
Mama Bear's Ltd - which has submitted the application - says the facility would also be fitted with purpose-built quiet rooms for youngsters with special needs, and believe they would be the first publicly available spaces of that kind on the Isle of Man.
If approved, it's intended the centre would operate between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am until 4pm on Sundays.
