Ballakermeen's 'Memorial Walk' next week

A local high school's annual memorial walk will take place next week.

Ballakermeen's event - to remember those in the school community who have passed away - gets underway on Tuesday, July 19.

Students will leave school at around 9:30 am and walk along the Heritage Trail to Crosby Playing Fields. 

Organisers say pupils  will be back at school in time for the school buses.

Meanwhile, motorists are asked to look ouut for students crossing the roads at the Milestone Garage, Quarterbridge and Glen Darragh Road.
