Douglas City Council and the Isle of Man police are urging cyclists to get off their bikes and walk through pedestrian zones.
They say there has been a rise in complaints about irresponsible cycling in Strand Street, Castle Street and Duke Street.
Cycling in shopping areas is not allowed and could lead to fines of up to £2,500.
Douglas City Centre Manager Oliver Cheshire says pedestrian zones are for people on foot and cycling through them poses a real risk to public safety and is asking cyclists to be considerate and dismount in these areas.
