A local jeweller has raised £500 for a racing team whose star rider lost his life at last year's Southern 100.
Sharon Christian of Tiny Treasures Keepsakes launched an online auction to raise cash for the Cowton Racing Team in memory of James Cowton who died last year.
She sold a handmade silver pendant designed around James's race number and initials.
The necklace sold for £380, and the proceeds will be given to the team along with another £120 in donations.
The winning bid was an amazing £380.00! Plus, I have an additional £120.00 from extra donations which takes the final total to £500.00! Thank you so much to everyone who has shared, retweeted, placed bids etc #52 ? pic.twitter.com/v94JIO0TcE
