Police are asking people not to try to break into disused mines on the Island - because of the obvious dangers.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing team says somebody tried to break into one of the entrances to North Bradda mines through steel gates.
Officers say the extensive complex of tunnels and shafts has hidden vertical drops, the risk of noxious mine gases and aren't safe to explore without specialist gear and knowledge.
They say although it's illegal to trespass there, the biggest worry is people's safety.
