The Island's assisted dying laws have cleared their final parliamentary hurdle.
This morning, Legislative Council backed amendments made by the House of Keys and so the bill can now be considered for Royal assent.
Once that happens, and Dr Alex Allinson's private member's bill is promulgated, the Isle of Man will be the first country in the British Isles to have assisted dying.
A bill which would stop protestors gathering outside assisted dying facilities is currently also being considered by Tynwald.
