Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford has announced he plans to defend his seat in the general election.
The Douglas North MHK says some of the key issues in the election will be housing, public services, the cost of living, the economy and infrastructure.
He adds he appreciates voters will be tired of vague promises from politicians, and wants to run a campaign based on substance.
The Island will go to the polls on Thursday, September 24.
