Manx Care's revealed the number of people suffering from asbestos-related diseases on the Island.
In response to a Freedom of Information request, the health service said there were 80 living people on its records with such illnesses.
These include mesothelioma and pleural plaques.
The number was given out of a total of 164 people on the record, with 84 having died.
