Isle of Man Arts Council wants your help creating a new collaborative book celebrating Manx culture.
The book, called 'Ellyn: A Tale Of Contemporary Art' is looking to showcase local heritage in the form of art and is hoping to be launched later this year and the organisation is inviting people on Island to put forward artistic pieces to be at the heart of it.
As well as the book, each piece of work chosen for inclusion will be shown together at an exhibition that will accompany the launch of “Ellyn” in September and will run for two weeks in the Villa Arcade.
Artists will be given the opportunity at this point to sell their work at the exhibition or donate it to the Isle of Man Arts Council Modern and Contemporary Art Loan Collection.
As part of its call for artistic work from Island residents, the council says: "This past year has shown us what it truly means to work together as an island.
"The strength shown across the Isle to combat the pandemic in order to save lives and take back our normality has been remarkable and the artistic response that has shone through these dark times has elevated our cultural power.
"Here at the Isle of Man Arts Council, we believe now is the time to encompass this talent in a physical and permanent entity."
The deadline for submissions is July 2 - details on how to submit pieces and what is required is available on the Isle of Man Arts Council website.
