Police say armed officers were sent to deal with a domestic incident in Douglas today.
The incident happened just before 11am in Murrays Road and armed response officers were joined by negotiators at the scene.
Police say they closed the road while the situation was dealt with.
They add the incident was resolved just after 3pm.
