Armed Police were called out to Ramsey this morning to respond to a person in crisis.
The constabulary has confirmed at around 11am in Clifton Drive, two armed response Police vehicles had to forcefully stop and detain a vehicle.
Officers say after a short period of negotiation the driver of the vehicle, who was the person in crisis, was detained safely.
The force adds no members of the public were placed in harms way during the incident.
