The Roads Policing Unit is asking people check their licence plates are legal.
It says it's recently had to deal with a number issues to do with plates, especially their size.
Officers say they're sometimes smaller than they should be, with characters also printed smaller to fit.
Anyone found with number plates that don't meet requirements may face a fine - you can find guidance on the government website.
