The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says it's looking into how to improve school security after a report.
The Independent Review of Funding for Schools recommended making schools safer with better security.
The department says it's reviewing current CCTV as well as boundary fences and gates and monitoring storage areas and car parks to prevent break-ins.
In its response to the report, it says it'll also work to stop bullying and abuse on playgrounds or in classrooms.
