An appeal has halted plans for a sports centre and swimming pool on grounds at King William's College.
Plans for the facility were previously approved, but will now be looked into further following an appeal request by the Southern Swimming Pool Board.
They claim there is no need for a 50m pool in that location, as it can't be deemed a community pool, nor an effective training one.
The board also believes the proposal 'undermines the actions of the Area Plan' and the purpose of the pool is unclear.
