Animal welfare has to come first.
That's the message from Curraghs Wildlife Park's General Manger Kathleen Graham - as the park re-opens its doors today.
It has been shut since last weekend following the first case of Bird flu confirmed on Island.
A second outbreak has since been announced - following the death of five feral chikens on the Tholt-y-will.
New measures - such as disinfected foot baths are in place, alongside asking anyone who has handled infected birds to steer clear.
Kathleen explained why the measures have been put in place:
No more TT this year - and Dean Harrison awarded Senior win
Condition updates on three riders after Friday crashes
£10k raised by popular charity walk
Further two-hour delay to planned racing
Mountain closed because of pressure on emergency services
Douglas-based Taxi firm stops operating
Questions raised over government tender for hygiene inspections
Are too many buildings waiting to become protected?
