He Tells 3FM Ending The Agreement Was Daft
Andrew Mackinlay MP, the man who has persevered to keep the reciprocal health agreement running told 3FM that he's certain it will stay in place once the 6 months is up.
It comes after the announcement yesterday to extend the agreement for 6 months, meaning TT goers and summer holiday makers will no longer have to take out travel insurance when coming to the Isle of Man this year.
Manx politicians claimed that it was a closed book but MHK's like David Cannan says people needed and did fight the Isle of Man's corner.
I spoke to Andrew MacKinlay MP who says it's great news but even better, he doesn't believe it will end at the end of the 6 months
Being a MP in the UK, he brought up the topic on numerous occasions in the House of Commons and also spearheaded a petition for the cancellation of the agreement to be reversed, in which 63 MPs got behind.
