Douglas council says it's investigating after someone dumped asbestos at the Civic Amenity Site yesterday.
The hazardous building waste meant the site had to be closed to the public while staff safely disposed of it.
Workers are now reviewing CCTV footage to find out where the material came from.
The local authority says anyone who drops off hazardous waste will be automatically banned and reported.
