The Island’s Ambulance Service is warning drivers not to follow emergency vehicles on blue lights in an attempt to bypass traffic.
Crews have recently reported incidents where vehicles have been seen tailgating ambulances during urgent responses, deeming it a 'serious safety risk'.
It says doing so could mean crews having to 'abandon' their journey, delaying vital care for patients.
Officials say such behaviour not only endangers patients and ambulance crews, but also the drivers themselves.
Crews add reports of antisocial driving that impacts emergency responses will be passed to the police.
