An Amber weather warning for coastal overtopping is now in place across the Island.
According to Ronaldsway Met Office, areas likely to be affected include Shore Road in Rushen, Douglas prom, Castletown prom and to a lesser extent Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
The warning, which is in place until 4pm will see strong to near-gale force south-southwest winds coinciding with high tide this afternoon.
The met office says this will see moderate coastal overtopping of sea water and debris expected around the time of high tide at approx 2.10pm.
The winds will then veer and ease slightly for the following high tide.
