An amber weather warning for heavy rain and localised flooding comes into force tomorrow.
The notice from Ronaldsway Met Office will be in place from 3am until Noon on Tuesday.
Forecasters warn the whole Island is likely to be affected, with river valleys along the east and northeast coasts expected to be the worst hit.
They add spells of heavy showers along with strong to gale force southeast winds from the early hours of Tuesday will cause significant areas of standing water and difficult driving conditions during the rush hour period.
Up to 40mm of rainfall is expected with up to 70mm over higher ground.
