An amber weather warning is in force for coastal overtopping until lunchtime today.
The notice, which came into effect at 9pm last night will run until 12.30pm today.
Forecasters say Douglas Promenade, Castletown Promenade and Shore Road in Rushen are the most likely to be affected.
They add high spring tides and strong south-westerly winds could lead to 'significant debris' being washed onto exposed roads.
