New figures show almost four warrants are issued every week for unpaid fines.
A question for written answer from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson asked how many coroner and police warrants had been issued for over the past five years.
Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson said in total over that time there had been 966 warrants issued when people hadn't paid fines.
Of those, 290 warrants were for coroners while the remaining 676 warrants were for police.
