Almost 200 people have raised nearly £7,000 to save the Family Library in Douglas.
The facility on Westmoreland Road is due to stop offering services on Friday, July 18 before shutting its doors for good on Thursday, July 31.
A JustGiving page was set up to raise the £100,000 needed to fund the library this year.
So far, 193 people have pledged £6,969 towards the total.
