Almost a fifth of Island dentists are within five years of retirement age - or over it.
Health Minister Claire Christian gave the figures in a written response to a question from Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh.
She revealed four dentists are over 65 while another four are aged 60 and over, representing 18 per cent of the profession on the Island.
And she added Manx Care isn't worried about dentists retiring, but is concerned about recruiting salaried dentists.
