A Peel man has appeared in court charged with rape and assault by penetration.
He can't be named after Tynwald passed laws earlier this year protecting the identities of alleged sex offenders.
The 40 year old is said to have carried out the attack on August 1.
The case was adjourned until November 21 and magistrates remanded him in custody until that date.
