Police in the North want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed two linked incidents which happened in Ramsey Town Centre last night.
Officers said that from 11pm onwards, members of the public called to alert them of an incident on West Quay, where a group were reportedly lighting fireworks near the swing bridge.
They said that within minutes a male and a female were reportedly assaulted by a group of males on Queens Promenade.
Police believe that both incidents are linked, and that those involved in the conflict in both locations are the same group.
Anyone who may have information about both incidents should contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking with a group of male cyclists, believed to be in the area during both incidents.
It's believed there were around 20 males, aged between 30 and 50 years of age, who travelled from Ramsey to Laxey immediately following the events.
