Alleged child sex offenders will have their identities protected under new laws that could come into force next month.
In March, Tynwald will discuss regulations under the Sexual Offences and Obscene Publications Act 2021.
The new laws will mean unlike those accused of drug-dealing, theft or violent crimes, those accused of child sex offences won’t be able to be named until after they're convicted.
The new laws also outlaw offences such as upskirting, necrophilia and conversion therapy.
If Tynwald approves the regulations, the law will come into force from March 25.
