Celebrity Chefs and Motorbike Stars in the Offing For vacant MHK Spot
The deadline for nominations for the House of Keys by-election has now been reached and an announcement on who is standing is expected shortly.
So far we know that among others, Celebrity Chef Kevin Woodford has thrown his name into the hat, as has Liberal Vannin Party Chairman Kate Beecroft, Douglas Councillor Colin Cain and TTXGP winner Chris Heath.
They’ll all be competing for the seat left when Phil Braidwood was elected into the Legislative Council.
Despite there already being numerous signs across Douglas promoting the candidates from now onwards they can really step their campaigns up a notch.
Only residents in East Douglas will be eligible to vote in the election.
