3FM understand that all 41 staff at financial services company Credit Suisse could be out of their jobs.
Staff at Isle of Man branch of the company, previously Fortis Prime Fund Solutions on the North Quay, were called in to a meeting yesterday.
They were allegedly told that the Isle of Man branch of the company will be closing, but staff are under strict instructions not to talk to the media.
The time of the closing is not yet known.
A spokesperson for the company says; 'We continue to be proactive about monitoring the size of our business relative to client opportunities and market conditions. This involves realigning resources to growth areas and adjusting capacity to meet client needs and to manage costs across the business.'
The Isle of Man branch are unable to comment at this time.
