A man who burgled a Douglas restaurant and stole a bottle of rum has been fined.
David Mccallion of Hope Street in Castletown appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The hearing was told he'd been living in a hotel room above the New Manila Restaurant on Douglas promenade on March 7.
He returned home that night after going out drinking, and CCTV showed him breaking into the eatery via a hatch.
Footage showed Mccallion trying to get into a till before giving up and making off with the rum.
