A 19 year old from Port St Mary has been banned from buying alcohol for three months after karate-kicking a tree outside a chip shop in the south of the Island.
Joseph Devereau of Lewthwaites admitted criminal damage when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse last week.
The court heard he'd been given a caution for a similar offence just three months before he damaged the potted tree outside the Port Erin Chippy on August 25 - Devereau said he'd been too drunk to remember the incident.
Magistrates fined him £50, ordered him to pay £50 costs and £90 compensation and banned him from buying alcohol for three months.
