Ronaldsway Airport says the Department of Infrastructure needs another week to finish work on a new pedestrian crossing.
The department's replacing the existing pelican crossing on the access road with a puffin crossing - but the work will be delayed and won't be finished until Monday, April 10th.
The crossing's islands need to be widened because they don't meet government standards and further delays have been caused by bad weather.
The department has apologised for ongoing inconvenience and is asking motorists to drive carefully past its workers.
