A steep rise in the cost of air travel is one of the reasons behind a hike in Isle of Man inflation
The latest government report showed air travel prices to have risen nearly 40% over 12 months.
The rate of inflation for May is 3.5%, that's up 2.7% from the previous month.
Other areas of the economy which have made the cost of living on the Isle of Man more expensive include driving lessons- they're up about 17%, kennel fees which have gone up about 14% -and fuel which has seen a rise of more than 45%.
