An AI recreation of Chief Minister Alf Cannan is promising Facebook users they can make a fortune using a new government trading platform.
Scam adverts have been appearing on Facebook - featuring a convincing video of Mr Cannan created using artificial intelligence.
In it, he promises people can make 800 "Manx pounds" a week by giving him just £190.
And in the video, created to fool users into handing over personal or financial information, Mr Cannan promises something unusual:
