Organisers of school after-prom parties say they've had to cancel events because of "credible threats of violence".
A committee behind the events for Year 11 students at various high schools around the Island announced the news on Facebook last night.
They say threats were made against those going to parties - which are not officially organised events and are funded by donations.
And they add they've now called off the gatherings for safety reasons.
