Police have confirmed they're treating last night's fire at Africa House as 'suspicious.'
At around 6pm yesterday evening fire crews responded to a report of the derelict property on Woodbourne Road in Douglas being on fire, remaining on site for over three hours until it was made safe.
The Constabulary says a number of enquiries are ongoing in relation to the investigation into how the blaze started, with the scene remaining cordoned off and under police control.
Officers add that the surrounding roads remain open and it's not believed anyone was injured as a result of the fire.
Anyone who may have been in the area between 4:30-6:15pm and has information that may assist investigations is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
