A trial against a pub landlord accused of affray has collapsed after police failed to seize CCTV.
32 year old Lee Butterworth of the Cat With no Tail, his brother Shane Butterworth of Station Park Road in Colby and Anthon Kirov of Hillary Park in Douglas had all been charged with affray.
This week, Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes heard despite requests from the prosecution, video footage covering the incident, alleged to have taken place on January 20, hadn't been taken and was no longer available.
Prosecuting advocate James Robinson offered no evidence and withdrew the charges.
Mrs Hughes will write to police asking for an explanation.
