Accreditation for organisations giving children a voice

Teachers Nigel Bennett and Annette Baker are now ICC evaluators

Organisations in the Isle of Man which give children a voice can now be assessed for a quality accreditation by local evaluators.

Two teachers from the Department of Education and Children are now trained in evaluating schools against the Investing in Children (IIC) framework. 

Both Ballakermeen High School and St John’s Primary School already possess the accreditation and five more are now undertaking the process to gain the IIC status. 

In order to receive the accolade schools must demonstrate that they have listened to pupils and acted on their ideas to bring about change.
