Abortion is now legal on the Isle of Man.
Dr Alex Allinson's Abortion Reform Bill has received Royal Assent, has been signed by Ministers and is now en route to the Lieutenant Governer for signing today.
IIt comes following Dr Allinson calling upon the House of Keys to change legislation surrounding abortion services on Island two years ago.
Despite protests and demonstrations from numerous campaign groups, such as HEAR and Abort67, today the bill passed its final hurdle in the legislative process.
The Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation says it's delighted', adding the new law is 'long overdue'.
