Experts on abortion from Ireland and Northern Ireland have briefed Tynwald members about the risks to women who have to travel off-Island for the procedure.
Dr Deidre Duffy from Manchester Metropolitan University was one of three experts who visited the Isle of Man this week.
She says she's concerned Manx law means many women have to go to the UK for treatment.
Dr Duffy says that fact alone means the risks to women's health are intensified:
Record number of seal pups recorded
Proposed laws could mean free period products
Unemployment fell slightly last month
GP waiting times to be raised in House of Keys tomorrow
Waves higher than predicted on crossing which damaged cars
Spitfire flights to be launched from Ronaldsway
