Experts on abortion from Ireland and Northern Ireland have briefed Tynwald members about the risks to women who have to travel off-Island for the procedure.
Dr Deidre Duffy from Manchester Metropolitan University was one of three experts who visited the Isle of Man this week.
She says she's concerned Manx law means many women have to go to the UK for treatment.
