A Level Results Day This Thursday
Nearly 400 students from the Island’s five secondary schools are having an anxious wait this week ahead of getting their A level results on Thursday.
The results will determine if they have succeeded in getting their place at their chosen University.
For the first time this year there will be A star grades on offer, based on additional challenging questions in the A2 modules.
Reports from the UK press have said how difficult it will be this year in particular for students to get onto their desired courses, due to the massive amounts of people who have applied.
Paul Craine from the Department of Education and Children has said that this will not neccessarily be the case for Manx students as they pay a different level of fees which could mean they will get prioirty treatment when they come up against UK students who achieved the same grades.
