The Island's economic development minister says 87 work permits were granted in the hospitality industry over the summer period.
Lawrence Skelly MHK was quizzed by Onchan member Julie Edge in Tynwald yesterday.
Mr Skelly said since the temporary relaxation came into force in March, 38 local businesses registered for the scheme and a total of 204 exemptions were requested.
He added some permanent positions have been filled and his department plans to review the scheme.
