Police are investigating after around 60 car tyres were dumped in a road side ditch just north of Douglas.
The discovery was made on Monday on Conrhenny Road – near to the plantation.
The tyres were dumped in two piles and it’s thought a large vehicle would have been needed to carry the load.
Anyone who witnessed people in the area acting suspiciously is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
