Onchan Commissioners have announced a 6.13% increase in rates for the coming year.
Commissioners say the increase is down to inflation and the rising cost of energy and waste disposal charges.
A spokesman said the rate hike will mean the authority can invest in people, machinery and infrastructure to provide local services for the benefit of everyone in Onchan.
